Michael Kavounas

To All,

If you have not heard yet our community lost a rider at Tomahawk MX on Saturday afternoon.  Michael Kavounas succumbed to his injuries at about 6:00pm on Saturday evening.  Michael was a new AHRMA participant beginning I believe in 2012. Always a gentleman, we spoke at length about tuning our AW 400 Maicos.   I do know that he worked as Physical Therapist in his home town of Coudersport PA.

Godspeed Michael and your friends at the track will miss you dearly.  On behalf of all in AHRMA we wish the family our best.

I will forward service information when it become available

2014 AHRMA NA & NE Series
NEWS UPDATES

The Tomahawk race, which was originally slated for July 19th, has been changed to August 2nd. See the revised schedule page.

This change was made because of a change in a date for Chad and this awful weather we've been having. Everything has been pushed back.

Fred Guidi

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the promoter, the race originally scheduled for June 21, at Dilwyn, Virginia has been moved to Tomahawk. The Tomahawk event will be Saturday only, and will be run with the Master's of Motocross. See the revised schedule page.

Sorry for any inconvenience and I look forward to seeing everyone at Budds Creek in a couple of weeks. Please contact me with any questions.

Fred Guidi

All,
Please print and post attached flyer for Rocket. Click Here.
Forward it to as many folks as you can to help get the word out. Mike Lupey the track owner will be updating their website as well.

Thanks for all the help!

2014 AHRMA NA & NE Series
V/PV MX, CC/XC & Trials Series

Welcome Back!

The 2014 MX Season is coming up with our first regional race at Budds Creek on April 12-13. This winter has flown by and the blood is pumping to get out and hit the track.

We'll visit our usual venues for this year starting at Budds Creek then heading to Tomahawk. Nexgt ujp are the Nationals at Devils Ridge and Unadilla. NExt we head to a new venue - SME (Actiontown). After that we hit the summer with Tomahawk, the National at McKees, and then a single day event at Budds Creek. Coming in to the fall we visit Speed Citi in Seaford, DE, The National at Lake Sugar Tree and finally the Moto Des Regions at Lake Sugar Tree.

The usual AHRMA menu of classes will continue. The PVR support classes will be broken down by decade again this year, to closely match the Master’s of MX. So with that in mind, our modern support classes will be +30, +40, +50, +60 and will be further broken down by skill level.

As we continue with the tradition, trophies will not be awarded for Yeaglets. This of course means that if you are the only one in your class you will be awarded points towards a class championship, but no trophy that day.

Be sure to check out our sponsors who make it all happen for AHRMA North Atlantic - NW Maico and CZ, Evolution Suspension Products, Strictly Hodaka, Works Creations, Race to the Gate, Race Tech, and Potomac Vintage Riders.

If there are any questions drop me a note otherwise I will see you on the gate at Budds Creek!!!
